Local Lifestyle

The people here are welcoming and as lovely as those southern Cali sunsets. The city feels like an oil painting, dazzling and running with color. The style somewhat mimics that of perhaps a town in Spain. It certainly doesn’t quite feel like you’re standing in California. The community is diverse and open. A smiling face or a friendly neighbor isn’t the exception but the norm. So, whether you’re a fan of browsing the local walk-in shops and bodegas or need a day to me-day at Spa La Quinta, you’re guaranteed one thing: you’re always going to feel that you belong.

Dining, Entertainment & Shopping

La Quinta Cliffhouse is set in the cliffs of Coachella Valley, which makes their cliffside patio especially divine. The menu features a nice selection of steaks along with seafood and pasta.

Morgan’s in the Desert has a piano bar and a fire-lit courtyard in addition to their dining room. The ambiance at Morgan’s feels like Tuscany mixed with old California. The menu features seared scallops, sea bass, filet mignon, braised short ribs, and an extensive wine list.

The Lavender Bistro has an award-winning patio surrounded by fresh flowers and live music. The menu features items like lobster, oysters, steak, and pistachio-crusted rack of lamb. The La Brasserie Bistro and Bar serves classic Parisian bistro fare, like grilled octopus and maple leaf duck.

La Quinta has a wonderful Main Street called Old Town La Quinta, with classic California architecture. The district has indoor and outdoor shopping, from boutiques to art shows. The dining village has a wide range of restaurants to enjoy. Old Town hosts the Certified Farmers’ Market on Sundays and Art on Main Street on Saturdays in select months.
