Dining, Entertainment & Shopping

The Nest has a newly remodeled dining room and a menu that has brought Indian Wells residents back for over 10 years. Their patio is heated and has air conditioning, so it provides a wonderful experience year-round. 

Jillian’s has a romantic ambiance and an eclectic menu. On their menu, you will find items like sweet corn risotto, liver veneziana, and Hawaiian cheesecake. The Pink Cabana in the Sands Hotel and Spa has a vibrant ambiance with neon colors and a pink ceiling. They specialize in Moroccan and Mediterranean cuisine and serve breakfast, lunch, brunch, and dinner.

The Village at Indian Wells has boutique shops, art galleries, restaurants, and more. Every Thursday, from October through May, the town coalesces at the Farmers Market in the Village to shop for local produce, freshly prepared foods, and handmade goods. 

Residents of Indian Wells also head over to nearby Palm Desert for the El Paseo shopping district and The Shops at Palm Desert. El Paseo is often referred to as the Rodeo Drive of Coachella Valley and has many luxury designer brands to shop from. The Shops at Palm Desert is an indoor mall with national brands.

Things to Do

The Indian Wells Tennis Garden is the home of the BNP Paribas Open, the world’s largest tennis tournament. It is one of the most revered sports venues in the United States and, luckily for Indian Wells residents, is open to the public. The Tennis Garden also hosts large concerts and the annual Indian Wells Arts Festival in April, where you will find 200 different vendors.

There are over a hundred golf courses in the Coachella Valley. Two notable golf clubs in Indian Wells are the Toscana Country Club and the Indian Wells Golf Club. Toscana is a private club with two Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Courses surrounded by homes and luxury estates. Indian Wells Country Club has a 70,000-square-foot clubhouse and two 18-hole golf courses. They pride themselves on keeping a full calendar of fun events for their members. 

One of the most exciting things to do in Indian Wells is to take a hot air balloon ride. With Fantasy Balloon Flights, you will soar over the desert, lemon orchards, vineyards, the Salton Sea, the San Andreas fault line, and so much more.
